About
The Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance operation is charged with the day-to-day maintenance of the campus facilities, including the operation, repair and upkeep of the academic, classroom and office spaces. The mission is to ensure the campus community has safe, reliable and optimal performing facilities.
The Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance operation is comprised of four units:
- Electrical Shop
- Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Shop
- Plumbing Shop
- Fire and Life Safety
All shops are responsible for emergency response, preventative maintenance, campus maintenance requests and small department-funded recharge work. Maintenance and recharge work can be requested through the Facilities Services Customer Service Center by submitting a service request online via SF State FacilitiesLink or by calling the Facilities Services Customer Service Center at (415) 338-1568.
